Come and spend a picture perfect romantic Christmas at White Cliff Bay
Libby Joseph is famous for her romantic Christmas stories. Every December, readers devour her books of falling in love against the magical backdrop of the Christmas season. If only Libby believed in the magic herself…
Struggling to finish her current novel, Libby turns to her best friend and neighbor George Donaldson to cheer her up. But George also needs a bit of support himself. Nervous about getting back into the dating saddle after splitting from his wife, he and Libby strike a deal. She will teach George how to win over the ladies, and Libby will in turn be inspired to inject her novel with a good dose of romance.
As Libby and George explore the beautiful White Cliff Bay on a series of romantic Christmas-themed dates, Libby finds herself having more fun than she’s had in ages and…discovers feelings that she never knew she had for George.
But is it too late? Will George win someone else’s heart or can Libby act like the heroine in one of her stories and reach for her own love under the mistletoe this Christmas?
Snuggle up with a piece of Christmas cake and mulled wine, and spend the festive season at White Cliff Bay. You won’t want to leave! Christmas at Lilac Cottage also out now.

Where to start from? Holly Martin just blew me away with an another flawless Christmas romance and I am in awe of her expertise to write romance novels filled with humor, warmth and tons and tons of love. Snowflakes on Silver Cove is the second book in the White Cliff Bay series. Christmas at Lilac Cottage, the first book in the series was released on September 25th, 2015. I loved reading it (read review here) and swooned over Henry, the adorably handsome hero. I was excited when Bookouture approved my request for the next book. Strangely, the excitement turned into a state of nerves, when I started reading it. This is a completely different story, I missed my favorite characters and was wondering whether Libby and George can be good as Henry and Penny. Holly surprised me with small mentions about Henry, Penny and Daisy now and then and my heart leaped with joy meeting them again. And pretty soon, Libby and George too won my heart with their quirkiness and the childish demeanor.

Let's start with the cover! A gorgeous frame-worthy book cover, that echoes the promises of giving you a perfect Christmas read; snowflakes twirling in the wind, a snow covered house overlooking the silver cove beach, bundles of mistletoe, a snow layered tree with a birdie perching atop and the sky is painted with shades of purple and yellow. It can not be Christmassy anymore, it's just perfect! Curled up on my bed with a cuppa and the book and enjoyed every bit of the story.

I snorted, giggled, grinned, laughed and even stifled when Mum stared at me. George and Libby were quite funny. Libby Joseph, a romance writer has moved to Silver Cove to find some inspirations for her next novel. Though, she satiates the readers with good romance novels, Libby has never allowed herself to experience it. Struggling to write the latest book, she approaches her best friend and neighbor George Donaldson for help. Libby offers to help him with dating ideas and agrees to go on a few romantic dates for practice. Libby hopes to be inspired with the ideas for the forthcoming novel in return. Slowly, she realizes the feelings she had for George. Will she dare to open up to him? or Will George fall for Giselle, the woman of his dreams?

Snowflakes on Silver Cove is Amy and Seb's story too. Seb lost his wife in an accident a few years back. Amy, who works in his pub has a huge crush on him and it remains as a one-sided love story. Amy has realized the attraction from Seb side for a while. However, he doesn't admit it to her. Can Amy make Seb fall head over heels in love with her?

Yep, a bonus pack from Holly Martin, as she treats us with two romantic stories in this book. The characters are cute and sweet as usual, especially Libby and George. Their bickering over petty reasons made me laugh, loved George's all-thing-Christmassy obsession and enjoyed their romantic dates too. Amy was hilarious, I bet she will make you cackle. Their relationships were built gradually and they had ample time to understand each other, I liked that, as it sounded more convincing to me rather than the love at first sight stories.

I have decided to opt for Holly Martin's novels whenever I need a good dose of Romance. Her novels are funny, magical and make you feel good with delightful HEA endings. If you are looking for sweet Christmas romance novels, then pick the White Cliff Bay series and snuggle down in your comfy place.

Snowflakes on Silver Cove can be read as a standalone, but I recommend Christmas at Lilac Cottage too. It was fun to spot the ice carving competition, gingerbread house competition, the accident on the beach, the Christmas ball, the storm and also found out for whom Penny made an urgent ice carving last time. Penny, the protagonist from Christmas at Lilac Cottage had a tidbit trouble with the ice carving competition results and George and Libby solved it in this book. I enjoyed connecting the dots between both the stories.

The third novel in White Cliff Bay series will be released in Spring. I'm looking forward to reading 'Spring Season' stories from the White Cliff Bay, it's a long wait, though. Right now, I am waiting on Amazon's kindness, so I can add the paperback copies of these novels to my Christmas book collection.

My Rating: 4.5/5 (Delightful!)
Happy Reading!
